Prices is going to be around $7K. But its going to be a very complete kit.

Equivilant to the APS in price, and probably as good quality wise. With a lot more details available on the APS, it seems to have a higher potential, but until final specs come in on the JWT, we just won't know.

Which ever one of these get CARB approval first will probably be my choice. The waiting is the hardest part.

Not to dis JWT , cuase I'm sure when released the TT setup will do the job in a quality fashion. However; note that JWT is useing the 530BB Garret type snails. These are on the smallish side , IMO. They should be extremely responsive on the OEM longblock but lack serious poop in a fully built longblock (lower CR, higher boost.

The APS snails by comparo are significantly larger and customized and will provide much more headroom. If JWT made them they would be ~800BBs

I would be interested to see if the JWT 700BBs could fit and replace the 530BB though? But JWT will not comment on this expansion.

I wish they would hop on here like tubonetics and APS and give us some good info on this. I am sure they have lost a few customers by not keeping us really in the loop.

That method doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Forums like this are really realy cheap and easy method of advertising. Doh?..

Some will argue that the SC, because of the additional strain on the crank from the drive belt, actually causes more strain on the motor than a TC that uses exhaust gases.

Personally, I assume that the additional stresses on the motor cause a lot more "damage" in the long run, and it depends on how much you want to squeeze out. More HP = More wear regardless of how you get it.

i think they don't want to break anybodies car. They use small turbos and very conservative timing on purpose.

APS is working on CARB approval, it a long process, only time will tell.

It seems like the JWT system was developed for the "average" tuner car as something that will give performance without internal mods. No need to give a really high potential if the stock motor can't handle it.

The number of folks that would spend money on a built bottom end on a 2 year old car is probably pretty low. If JWT follows their past patterns, you will see higher and higher "stages" of their systems as more demand arises.

Plan A:
With little doubt , the JWT kit will initially shine most for those who:
a) have a G35 and want to maintain the stock facia appearance.
b) intend to only stay with the stock longblock.
c) want a complete quality product.
d) can afford the extra beans up front to save head-aches later on.

Plan B:
For those who intend to add big boost on a built engine , the APS
system has more appeal. If JWT can get a CARB EO I have little doubt that APS will also succeed. IMO.

I am personally in it for the big kahuna plan B , hence I personally favor APS. APS should have a G35C fitted (mostly FMIC ductwork) for sale by the March '05 timeframe, so I have been told.

I personally inspected an APS kit instaled on a Z @ Z-car , just yesterday, it appears to be a extemely tight (in both fit and quality) system.

If APS will have a kit for the G35 coupe by March then I can wait for it but if it takes longer then that, I might go Greddy or PE.

Has APS confirmed that they WILL make a kit for G35 coupe ?

Thanks !
