How to read Infiniti Serial numbers
Hey guys, I have searched two infiniti websites and here, but I haven't found what I'm looking for, and this forum is the only one I am a member of.
My sister recently purchased an 05 g35 coupe. Well, she paid for it, and it was supposed to be shipped from California. They afterwards told her that car had been sold and they have a different one. Then they told her the same thing again. It has been about 2 weeks now that they have had her money and she does not know when or if she is going to get her car.
They have given her 2 of the different VIN numbers of cars that were supposedly what she was getting. I know with older cars the manufacturers sometimes had codes you could read from a serial number with information for the car.
From my searching I have found that JNK represents infiniti and the last 4 numbers are the build number. I am hoping that there is more meaning that can be found in the serial number.
I'll post up the first one (she's not going to get this one anyways so it doesn't matter)
JNKCV54E45M402538
Is there anything else that you can get from this number?
Basically I'm just trying to see if this is really the car that they told her it was.
Thanks guys.
