Lol...Propane turns into a liquid form when compressed, that's why it is heavy -- the air we pump into the tires does not turn into a liquid form, not even when it's heavily compressed, like for a scuba diving tank (1000+ psi). So it weights nothing that we would notice.

... Yes a tire will weigh more inflated vs deflated. You are increasing the density of the air inside the tire therefore it WILL weigh more. Not saying that it's a huge difference, but everything has weight so something full has to weigh more than something that is empty.

First off a hot AIR balloon doesnt use helium... it uses hot air, which is less dense than cold air and therefore is lighter. That is why you always see those balloons in the early morning while the air is still cold.

 

But an empty balloon is still heavier than a balloon filled with helium

so its about 5lb difference filled and unfilled

 

Lol...No, I think it's closer to 3.5 lbs more per tire with air filled in them -- I weighted the bucket of air myself.
