Default What to buy: Stillen Stage3 vs Turbonetics Single Turbo

I need some help. I love my G. I love it so much I dont drive it in rain if I can help it. I want it faster (not airplane speeds). I would like it quite, reliable and most of all dependable. My friend "SIAMESE" has went stark crazy with the Greedy Twin hence the name SIAMESE. I would like a little more punch. My other friend drives a 478RWHP SC 03 Cobra!
Maybe 400RWHP MAX would be ok for me, but keeping the above factors inmind. I love the sound of the Stillen SC (all root SC's for that matter). I have not heard the Turbonetics Single on stock exhaust. I dont want my car loud at all if possible? I am thinking of Turbonetics Single, Kinetix Highflow Intake Manifold and highflow cats on stock exhaust. Or the Stillen Stage 3 SC with Stillen Exhaust (cat back) or highflow cats with stock exhaust. I am looking to make a purchase within 60 days. Thanks inadvance..please be as critical as you can with your experienced replies..........Also I have the ability to install the Stillen myself..not sure on the Turbonectics ST, to save $$

the Turbonetics with stock exhaust is pretty quiet... all you hear is a hella loud intake and a turbo spool and then finally the BOV.

I have turbonetics with a cat delete. and with an exhaust Along with the Kinetix i should be at 450WHP. w/o the exhaust and the kinetix im at 398WHP.

I keep telling you, go turbo. I know, Greddy is off the deep end, but the TN single is an awesome system. Especially if you're going with the AAM plenum, HF cats, and a nice exhaust. Also, you can look at exhaust silencers if the ears won't take it. On days at the track, you can pop 'em out and let everyone know that you mean business.

The TN Sigle has more juice....what about reliability over time and parts. The STILLEN is so simple..yet effective enough to smoke most...maybe a Stage1 fuel system from AAM will wake it up from 348WHP?

I like the STILL package 3 the best over all, but have to give TN their respect....the numbers dont lie....its the turbo reliability that Im questioning with them. There is a guy in MD with a Still Stage 2 with over 16K miles and humming....all he has changed is belts! Said the torque is outstanding and he drives an auto... Why is this so hard for me!!!!!!LOL. Thanks for your time man.

Ron Popeil will throw in an extra set of knives. Go Turbonetics or Vortech.

you know thats me ,and i returned your pm,pm alberto and ask him about the tn,he just ran a 11.98 with me next to him in the other lane.he had drag radials and i had little 245/45/17,s got no traction what so ever i still ended up the day with a 13.41,he killed me.but i got some meets on the rear now,and hope to be near the 12,s.if you want alot of power go turbo, and tune, tune, tune if you want plug and play go stillen.just remember turbo is gonna be more power and a few more headaches.the only problem ive had with the stillen is tightening the power st belt once in a while, but nothing sounds better than a roots blower.

Go with the Stillen but you won't get 400whp.
If you want a highway or track monster go TN, if you want fun daily driver go with Stillen.

if you had a z i would say go TN because the stillen hood is awful. but since you have a G and it seems like you dont want to do much but plug it in go with the stillen. there both in the end going to run around the same price becasue you have to buy the hood then get it painted. both options are good you really cant go wrong but for a G i say stick with the stillen unles you want to go TT.

You will be lucky to get 350whp with the Stillen stage 4 and just about all the other bolt-on mods you can do.

wait till the end of this year, stillen is coming out with a bigger blower.they wont tell but it has to be the m90.they told me it will fit with the hood they have now and the majority of the stage 4 kit.if its the m90 the stillens will be in the 400rwhp range or more.

^^I really hope what you are saying comes to pass. I will want some more oomph in the next couple of years. A more powerfull stillen would fill that void.

thats what i was told by stillen, they have been working on it for a while.prolly due to the complaints of not enough power.if it is the m90 we will have plenty of power and wont have to really worry about the cent s/c,s at all.single turbos are still a problem though.
