Well lets see how he handles it. As maybe he did not know that Brides do not come in suede as well.

Good Luck.

He states that he didn't know, but should that matter? I can return them to him in the same condition I recieved them. Did you all see the sale thread? Would you have thought for a second they were fake, NO. Why should I have to pay for his misfortune? Ask yourself if you were in his shoes would you stick a fellow member with these knock-offs? I KNOW I wouldn't.

This from his thread is what I would question...

"Ok i priced out some liposuction and i would rather just take a bath on the seats.
2300 retail with brackets start making offers.Ill have pics up tonight."
He never mentions how much he paid or where he got them from. If he bought them new he should be able to produce a sales receipt for them showing exactly how much he paid. He represented that he paid 2300 for them.

Good Luck.

Perhaps you can have the difference refunded and keep them anyway. They are such a strong contrast to the cream interior though! If you go for the real thing do some gray leather buckets!

dave is a cool guy, he will make it right. he bought the seats from motorex and im sure he didnt know they were fakes. and no his comments werent misleading, he stated the retail price, which was true, and he sold seats which he thought were real, how is that misleading. dont make dave out to be a scammer because he isnt. im sure he paid a lot for them from motorex and didnt know they were fake, he tried to sell them to get as close to what he paid for them, something all of you do too.

Tig, he didn't buy them from Motorex. He bought them from a guy that said he bought them from Motorex. I do believe that it wasn't intentional, but how would you handle it? What would you do if you were in my shoes (almost were)? Would you say "Oh well, I got hosed" I think not.

whathever, intentional or not, now he knows he sold conterfeit marchandise. He should make up for it to you, and then arrange whathever issues he has with whom he bought the seats from.

I would NEVER believe he didn't know they were counterfeit, do not assume that. The thread IS missleading, the way the sentence JDM/brixII authentic/sliders is formulated... he either failed elementary school grammar, or it was intentional, come on.

"Just received my new jdm bride brixII black seats.Authentic bride z33 sliders as well.I will install drivers tomorrow but i believe my *** is to fat for these seats. If I decide to sell i will post pics tomorrow."

I will chime in here i guess. I never intended to mislead anyone. I payed 1800 bucks for these with bride brackets shipped. I sold them for 900 bucks if you include shipping to nate. I was taking a bath on them to begin with and if i fit in them i would have kept them not even knowing if they were knockoffs.

When Nate received them he messaged me thanking and seemed very happy. I would have honestly answered any questions he had before deal and cleary posted microfiber and posted pics.I have offered him a return of 300 bucks to make final selling price to him 600 bucks. Ive ate shipping on these twice along with a serious hit from intitial purchase and he told me that there were some scrathes and thing on them. Hell he has even mounted them in the car which i never even did. I know the brackets are authentic and they sell for 175 each. Im still not a 100percent from accident and really dont want the hassle of reshipping these out and 600 bucks is more then fair.

Dave, I didn't want to start anything publically in front of all the forum members, but if thats what you want to do then, fine. These seats may not have been mounted in your car, but these WERE mounted in a vehicle before my car. The brackets were scratched along with every corner of the seats near the seat adjustment. UPS accounts for 1 of those. Also, one of the mounting plates used to install the seat to the bracket was missing, broken weld. I didn't make a big deal out of it cause I got a good deal. I ask you how Microfiber = Suede? Also you stated they were "JDM", should I think otherwise?

Because i thought they were. Im not a bride sales rep and would have kept them myself if I would have fit. I posted pics and would have given you anything you would have asked for. Now that you throw in damage from shipping I insured them for selling price and if ups accounts for it then we can take it up with them. I packed the hell out of those things and shipped in my old corbeau boxes.

Im truely sorry for this but i dont think i should take all the damaged item along with refund. If they would have been damaged you should have refused them and took it up with fedex. On a side note 2 weeks ago you are more then happy with them and now your not?

Dave is going to make it right on Monday, no worries, he took ownership of the situation and made it right. Now that the drama is over, what do you all think of the car besides the seats.

well, ive known dave for a while now, and ive bought some things from him, along with other people here. everything was exactly as advertised. im sure he thought they were real, why the hell would he have paid 1800 for fake ones too?

microfiber = suede, i have microfiber suede couches.

glad it all worked out, and hope you are happy with them. the seats and the car look great.
