I posted this on g35driver but not too many ppl really helped so maybe someone here will know. Just wondering if anybody else woth an 04 manual coupe has a relatively soft clutch that also engages pretty high?

Also, I did the test where u cruise at 40 and put it in 5th and floor it to see if the clutch slips or not. It didn't slip, so does that mean I am completely fine or could there be something else wrong with the clutch?

 

I have the same car and my clutch is the same exact way. I'm changing my clutch soon.

 

oh ok that's a releif. Everyone else always complains about how stiff the G35 clutch is so I thought mine was just screwed up.

 

i have an 04 coupe as well and i had the same exact problem. the clutch was more stiff than regular and engaged a lot higher like yours. i even had some infiniti techs drive it and they asked me if i had put an aftermarket clutch on. of course i didnt.

but sorry to give you the bad news, my clutch as a result of this wore out prematurely. it burnt at 15k. and i drove it normal.
