unless they can prove that the turbo directly caused the problem your warranty should be good...only thing is that any form of FI changes the reliabilty of the internals of your car because its under more stress. Give the dealer a call and see whatsup with the warranty.

its okay bro, i really dont think the way you talk or type has anythign to do with your character. It was somewhat hard to read what you were trying to say but I got the jist of it. I am agreeing with most people that this is an electrical issue and not an engine issue. Hydrolocking takes a significant a mount of water and unless your friend made a puddle inside one of your intakes, I doubt it did anything like that. The issue becomes more complicated since your are FI. As far as the dealership, good luck because they are notorious in blaming your mods and denying warranty. I'd suggest being polite and courteous to them and not lose your temper because they won't want to help you if you are cussing and causing a scene. Ask them to address the problem and explain to you how your mods caused it. Mention that you are aware of your rights and say you do have a copy of the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. If you have any kind of engine management system, they're probably going to blame that. I think it's a terrible situation you are in, but it's not impossible to fix.

Try educating yourself on the laws before you speak with them you will have a better case.

first of all, its not an Fing warranty issue because your bro poured water in the wrong place! ha

Secondly, Its not hydro locked unless he poured the water onto your filters in excess. where are your intakes located? Do they have digital cameras in the "hood," I guess they should since they apparently have turboed g35s. lil joke

I have washed lots of motors, i usually cover filters with a plastic grocery bag and a towel inside the bag.

What type of not starting are we talking? no cranking at all? or cranking but now firing up? or does it fire up but just not able to idle? when you put the key in the on position can you hear the fuel pumps turn onin the back of the car?

This would help in pointing you in the right direction. If it just cranks and cranks and never fires or just does nothing you are in for some fun. Electrical problems are a mother. they take a long time to find and sending a mechanic on a wild goose chase to track it down will cost you, but it is neccessary nless you have the time knowhow and patience to go over every connection under your hood by yourself and check some with a volt meter.

do you still have the stock plastic engine cover?

good luck

i was going to ask if the lights were working... if not, then probably some water was thrown onto the battery.

Thats good news man... don't let your buddy wash your engine anymore. I use black magic engine shine, I never hose it off, just apply lightly and wipe it off with a clean rag.

This thread makes me feel like most of the 350z and g35 drivers are just a bunch of immature brats. Not everybody in the world had the chances and education most of us have but that is not a reason to make fun of him. Making fun of his typing was not too mean but calling him a drug dealer and a thief was cruel.

so why can't you post like this every time? they say 'don't type like a 15 year old girl' and what do you do? next post is full of IM girl shorthand.

make the effort EACH TIME to formulate a post much like the one I quoted and you will be fine and get all the help you want.

and really, if you get that incensed over the Internet from someone asking if you sell rocks... put down your computer and go to some counseling. how ignorant do you think it looks to the other members when you come on here wasting our time with illegible posts? right. so give us the courtesy of writing out a clearly articulated explanation

so chiiilllll.

wtf, you can't type a sentence but can afford a 40k car? I don't think it's immaturity but disgust at what people think is passable English these days.

and why not look through his posts again smart guy? he is PERFECTLY capable of forming complete sentences and making intelligent posts... he chose not too. that is what gets people annoyed, spend the extra 10 seconds writing out a word!

Take your car to a carwash and have them use their air compressor to blow all the water out of your engine or any other parts under the hood.
