I have been having serious problems with my windows not coming back up. All I hear is a click noise but the window wont come up? Is this a major defect or what is going on? thanks

This is a problem with G coupes, the dealer will fix it if you are under warrenty. The only problem is you have to replicate the problem for them. My car only does it once and awhile.

 

ya just took it in to the dealer this morning and under warranty theyll fix it.

 

I have a Z and the window auto up.. it goes all the way up but comes back down half way......WTH???

 

they replaced the motors and regulators which is great, but all of a sudden one of my bose speakers is out, wtf.....really sucks i have to take it back monday....

 

When the windows in my Z are up and I hit a bump on the highway the drivers side falls down just enough to make an air leaking type noise. Not quite a wistle but still irritating.

 

That sounds like what we like to call in the buisness a "F'd up window".

 

Taking it in on SAT to get it fix under warranty.. Hopefully they don't f**K up anything..

 

hopfully, i just got back G back again and they fix the bose speaker they screwed up!

 

This is normal in a G35/350z

If this occurs you need to get your window motor reset and it should work fine, but note.. if the occurs agn you will most likly need a new window motor, i have seen this on a few g35/350z cars

The clicking noise is your windown motor working in the auto up feature, it goes up and once it hits the weather/door rubbers it will bump down 1mm and therefore you hear the click of the motor fuction, im pretty sure this is it

btw: this is happening because....

1. when your car was in a shop they rempved your moldings and tryed to put the windows up auto and therefore the motor went into safty mod, its basicly the same as if you put your hand in the window it will tap the object thats blocking the window from going fully up and auto back down (ex.. same as a elevator door)

2. your window motor is on it way out =0/ which i recommend you replace asap as you dont want to get stuck in the rain and your window wont go back up

 

how long does the warranty ?.....i forgot=.=.....i got the same problem....DAM

 

normal factory warrenty is 36,000 miles or 3 years

 

Is there a way to fix problem 1, without going to the shop. Is there a reset for the motor?

 

I have the same problem with my G35. If I hold the window without letting it go, it will go all the way up, but if i dont hold it. The window will go up and then come right back down half way.

 

try resetting your window motor
