Sounds amazing. How many miles do you have on the car?

That dyno reads really LOW....but then again that would run in line w/quarter mile times w/the weight of the g37.....

Yea that dyno is slow for a 3.7L G37. The 350z 07s are dynoing more.

Wow, that is either more than a 20% drivetrain loss, or the 330hp is false advertising.

21% HP loss.. plus the drive shaft of the G is not carbon but once you lighten up some parts it should improve more.. If you look at the G Sedan vs 350 HR dyno you will see the diff..

Weight has nothing to do with power readings on a dyno. Besides, if the VQ35HR were to be dyno'd in this same exact dyno, it would read lower. Every dyno is calibrated differently, even if its the same type of dyno.

You can't compare a dyno from "x" machine to a dyno from "y" machine. Like I said, if the VQ35HR were dyno'd in this same exact dyno, it would read lower.

Numbers are just numbers... VQ37VHR>VQ35HR

PS. That dyno graph looks like a typical manufacture dyno.

The VQ35HR in both the Z & G dyno at exactly the same power. State your proof. And I mean proof as in both of these cars being tested in the same exact same dyno with the exact same conditions... not sepeate independant dynos. Weight is the only thing that seperates the 07 G Sedan with the 07 350Z in terms of acceleration (Z with the upper hand obviously).

Of course not. But they are also not that far apart from each other either.

I have yet to see a dyno that actually shows the VQ37VHR making better gains over the 3.5

This was my before/after on Fujita's dyno.

Before is bone stock. After is with their dual intakes. Car is 07 350z.

Wow. Thanks for posting. If I read that right, it is on the same dyno (on a slightly cooler and more humid day), but the '07 Z dynoed at only 5.6 less hp, but 12.07 more tq?

I can see the conditions changing the results a bit, but I didn't expect it to be that close.

I hope that G37's dyno isn't typical.

He was talking about weight as it relates to 1/4mi. time -- saying the high weight and the low dyno #'s account for the low ETs.
