the problem is much bigger than we think. all info was lost and they are trying to retrieve all the data somehow. looks like everyone will be at 0 posts when it comes back up. so people would have to redo everything, DIY, stickys, all that stuff.

lol... he may be halfway to the truth.
There are server issues, and then there are server backup recovery issues. I don't think everything will be lost, like posts etc. But from what I understand some of the pictures, hotlinks and html stuff may not be fully recovered.
Short version: we'll probably get everything up and going soon, and within 2 weeks we won't have even noticed it was gone.
