Default New 2008 G35X Owner

Just took home my new G35X AWD with premium package and rosewood trim. Love the car. I'm an automotive writer and what sold me was back in Sept. we had track days to take all new 08s through their paces on Pocono Raceway; driving back to back BMW, MB, Saab, Acura etc. IMPA has this every year. It WOULD be nice to have 6 speed of the S or look and slight output of the 37 but AWD is better for our weather conditions plus more practical as a daily driver. We're actually having a snow storm tonight and I'll see how it takes it.

Ipod connectivity is by far the best of any car I've tried to date. Never been a fan of Bose (no highs, no lows, it's gotta be Bose) but this system was well designed. Making playlists is a must. I'm impressed by the detail like the the A/V jacks for Ipod (or any RCA device) input (with parking brake on, but I'm sure if I searched the board someone's found the round a bout). I can't see buying this model without that premium package. Navigation is something to skip with Garmins and the like mostly surpassing most in dash units.

Voice recognition and pairing to my Iphone is well executed Toyota should take notes. One caveat but it may be on my end (maybe read the manual ), is the phone book from the Iphone didn't pick up trying "call Susan" for example. Speaking out the numbers it did just fine.

This is a lot of car for the money, Nissian and Infiniti is really moving up the food chain with it's new entries. Just noted that Consumer reports is feeling this way too with the 35 topping it's latest magazine test sedans.

Hey Mr. Austin TX with sunshine and decent weather, I need to wash this car just from driving it back from the dealer, 2 snow storms and all the road junk. I'll post the pics.

Here's a one, I need to get good ones outside when weather is nicer.
