the g37s comes in auto and 6mt. the base does not have a 6mt. get the g37s because you get 19's, bigger brakes, lsd, sport bumper. for all of that, its worth more than the 1.7k they charge. if i were you, i would wait until the 09 model comes out, they probably fixed a few things.

God some of you people are tools.

And SpeedRcr... your comment is supremely toolish in that your little snipe doesn't actually apply to what I've said at all. I didn't ask anyone to SELL me Nismo parts for an Infiniti or where I could buy them. (Which would be through Nissan) I asked if they exist. You know... research. Douche bag.

Thanks for the actual info ZiZZa.

(I'd check the website but it has "no options avalible" on the base build your own.)

Is the S worth the extra dough? And along the same line of thinking, does Infiniti have a Nismo equivalent? If so I feel like I might be better off getting the base because if there is a nismo type factory performance tuner, I feel like I'll be ripping out a lot of the S "goodies" anyway. Thanks in advance for the assistance

Not tryin' to flame you... but, asking if there is "Nismo" equiv for a Infiniti is bound to draw the ire of members here... most people keep (here) keep up with the model line-ups of both Infiniti and Nissan, and to ask such a question screams "Noob" ...ranted you may be on your "****" when it comes to F1, exhaust, intake etc, but seriously that's a pretty ridiculous question...
Once again, this isn't a flame this is more of a "how about you stop by your local Infiniti dealership and find out" suggestion...

if you're gonna mod, get the base... I got base G sedan and everything that would have came with the "performace package" ended up being upgraded with better **** anyway.

Okay I've had enough of n00bs calling me a n00b. The G35 had nismo parts.

I am well aware that Infiniti isn't just owned by Nissan. Technically (in Japan) it IS NISSAN.

Nismo = Nissan Motorsports.

If Infiniti is Nissan in Japan, would it not follow that perhaps NISMO would make parts for the G37? Sadly... no one at the local infiniti dealership knows anything about the cars they sell. I came to you guys to ask a simple question since this board used to contain quasi-experts who could point me in the direction to things such as the Japanese Nismo style drivers wheels for the 350z etc (Pretty rare stateside). Some of you apparently think that it's absurd to ask if Nismo makes infinti parts. Here ya go

http://www.g35turbo.com/G35_Body_Kit...-Body-Kit.html

The LMGT4 fits the G35 also. I knew this before I asked the question, but all I was aware of was that Nismo made APPEARANCE mods for the G35. I had never figured out if the Nismo exhaust from the 350z was the "Nismo" exhaust some of the G35 guys had used. You people are ridiculous to blow up on me for asking if they (Edit: They being Nismo) have developed parts for the VQ37VHR. Or to ask if Infiniti has an equivalent to Nismo. The easy answer was : "NISMO. Just go to a Nissan dealership and ask." or "Nothing performance has been announced for the G37 yet."... Not "ZOMG U R a NeWbZZ!"

OH my god.... The point was to show that Nismo has had parts for "Infinti" in the past. And I am asking if they have any/will have any in the future for the VQ37. Because IF NISMO ends up making brakes/suspension/engine upgrades for the G37, I wouldn't want to spend extra money on a G37S if I am going to take the "upgrades" off and replace them with NISMO. Why is this so hard for you people to understand?

Wow... I'm kind of with you Jergens. I understand what you were trying to ask. I know that things like the Nismo Intake, Exhaust (with an extention), and other things were interchangeable between the 350z and the G35. I have not seen any Nismo parts made yet specifically for the G37 yet. I'm sure that very soon they will start making some aero components. You'll probably see alot of Nismo goodies that will be interchangable once the 370z is released. As I think I saw someone post earlier, I agree that Nissan should have put the 3.7 in the Nismo 350z... but then it would have been the Nismo 370z now wouldn't it...

No offense, but with all the squabble – your question and statements weren’t entirely cleat (at least not to me)… As you now, NISMO has a few aftermarket mods (performance and aesthetic) for the G35 – so I’m sure the G37 will follow suit… also, many engine mods are cross-compatible between VQDE and VQHR Z and G – so eventually when the 3.7 is across the board, NISMO product will be more readily available…

It seems to me that you have answered our own question by providing the reference material to make your points… So I’m still not sure what your specific question is?

In any event, personally I’d be looking into other manufactures aftermarket products (other than NISMO)… but like all mods that could lead to dozens of pages of debate…

And like I metioned in my earlier post - if you intend to mod anyway - it makes sense to get the base model (not "s")...
