Squeekin Brembos on O4' G35
Hey people i am noob on this forum stuff... but recently i traded in my 03 g35 AT for a 04 MT.. I am soooo happy now that i got a 6 speed... but every time i break at slow speeds, the Brembos make this loud screeching whistle noise! Is this normal, should i complain to Infiniti?? Hope you guys could help me out, thanks a lot!
You do know that all brakes, especially these brakes require a small break in period. Take it easy on them for about 1200 miles and it will pay off. A small amount of squeaking is normal and should practicly disappear after awhile. couple of months? If it is EXCESSIVE take it to the dealer, they may need to adjust brake calibar.
that is normal....especially for performance braking systems like the brembos.
It will quiet down...you can complain if you want to and makes you feel better...but I bet we have all had it at the beginning...

Wow thanks guys, I heard that new breaks do make some noise. But i never heard of a break in period for breaks, but now i know...wow i feel pretty dumb. Oh yea! When is the car "fullY" broken in to have some fun... when is the recomended amount of miles, until the engine is ready to go, along with the breaks??
I have about 12,000 miles on my M6 coupe and the damn things still squel like a pig on low-speed braking. Pisses me off, but I would not trade it for the world.
BED THE BRAKES!!!!!!!!!
I really don't know why they don't include this in the manual. Whenever you have new brakes you should always bed them. My brakes squeaked for all of two days when it was brand new, before I got a chance to bed them.
This doesn't just apply to the Brembos. All brakes.

Another popular method, easier too, is to perform 10 moderate brake applications in a row slowing the vehicle from 55mph to 30 mph. Accelerate to 55 and hit the brakes again till the vehicle slows to 30, repeat 10 times. I had to do that one at 2am on an empty highway.
