In a few years I can see this being possible and netting decent gains, electric motors are becoming more efficient and powerful at an exponential rate. But as for right now the load being put on your alternator by a motor capable of producing good gains would pretty much negate the effect. I could see something like this working with an elaborate battery and charging setup for gains under hard acceleration and then charging a bank of li-ion batteries under normal driving but I think this kind of tech is still years down the road for it to be a feasible alternative. lol not to mention that the motor in the eram probably couldnt produce 1 psi
I am trying to find a thread where someone actually worked out the numbers as far as how much current you'd have to produce to move enough air to make it worth a damn. I think the math showed something in the order of 15-20 car batteries to make it work. Yeah...physics don't bend even for the most clever of marketing claims.
i wonder if the motor in it is pretty effecient. i could use a fan in front of my intercooler....
using this as a way to cool down my air-air intercooler will be the most horsepower this thing ever helps to improve and even then it would be well under 1/10th a hp
