I got a 04 6speed, have had it for a while now (3 years) it has 90K, i put about 50K on it..the car is getting old but i dont want to get rid of it until it dies. Over the years i have found things about the car that i dont like and i have tried to change them as much as i could....one thing that i dont like very much on my car is the tan interior....its ugly gets dirty easy etc.

i want to know if anyone knows if the dealer would do it ...i would rather do it myself though dealer is F'in expensive. you go in there for an oil change and they take every dime u have and i still dont know why parts for the first gen Gs and Zs are still sooo expensive when the value of these cars have dropped..

does anyone know where i can get a parts list of every interior piece or how hard it would be for me do it in house. i have taken my door panels off before, the seats, the dash stuff like that...dont know what to do with roof etc....i dont know if u got any adivse or can reffer me to do a different thread please do.. i have researched, and all the stuff i see is people asking if they should buy a g with tan interior or black blaah blaah...

When are talking about a "tan" interior,do you mean the burnt orange interior?
Exactly what needs to be replaced in the interior?Seat-leather,scratches on the console etc.?I'd think you want to start with what you want to end up with.Keep it OEM?
Change the interior look?Also,budget of course is a big factor.
Never buy any replacement stuff through a dealer.There are many other sources depending the parts you need to replace.
Whats the list?

 

there are some carbon fiber parts for the dash and console (not overlay) from evo-r ..it does change the looks and hide all scratches... change /swap seats with sport aftermarket seats, recaro's/ bride /corbeau. u can work on dials, change led lighting etc ( i wont do it )...change ur shift boot and shift ****...i prefer TK .
and ur in Fremont...so let me know if ya need ideas or help..since i am local

i just want to change the trim and the seats. just dont want that color anymore, i dont mind the lights so i dont need LEDs and **** has been changed.

i want the seats front and back changed and basically all the interior trim. I really like the black interior instead of the tan or brown or whatever u want to call. how hard would it be for me to do this myself? and what are my restrictions? I know the roof on the inside is probably going to be hard to change..are there any other things i should look out for?

and i have bought racing seats for the front...dont know what to do for the back..lol

 

take a photo of your current interior and i'll give you a rundown.

i just did a full 2008 interior swap and oem look black headliner.

be ready to spend about $1000 all told. even if you don't need seats.

 

Members with white interior want black. Members with black interior want white. Seems no one is ever happy. That said:

You could find a black Z who is willing to swap. Lots of man hours here, and potential electronic headaches.

Certain you can find a black interior at the junk yard.

OP, your best bet is a junk yard. Not many g35 owners willingly part with the black interior.
