Default Does the G35C 6MT share the same Tire Feathering and Tranny issues?

I'm considering getting a g35c in the next 3 months or so and I wanted to know if the couple shares some of the same problems as the 350z, mainly the tire feathering and all the tranny issues they have been having. I looked through all 3 pages of this section and didn't find any info. thanks in advance!

p.s. how is the paint in comparison to the 350z's? A lot of the 350z owners complaining of poor/weak paint, wanted to know if that crossed over to the g35c. Thanks!

Tire Feathering - G35s not affected. Transmission problems - Yes, some g35 6MTs have had issues with the transmission. Though I have had my 6MT for close to 14 months now, with no issues at all. None, Nada.

haven't seen the tire feathering problem with the cpv35. tranny issues with the 6mt... yes i know of two coupes that have had their tranny's swapped out by the dealer under warranty. with the paint it's hard to say b/c i've seen g35's with chips on the front bumper and hood but i think that was only due to lack of care. a good coat of wax every now and then will help with that.

Some G's, including mine, have rear tire feathering problems.

the auto g35 comes with the seat memory in the sedan. every time u take the key out and open the door the seat moves. not to sure about the coupe tho. but an automatic coupe just isnt the same.

coupe doesn't. Would you like to be that person that goes to sit in the back and has their knees crushed by a seat that just keeps moving backwards?

Short answer:

Tire feathering on the G35: very few (if any cars). Credit better tires or slightly different suspension tuning.

Tranny grinds on G35: Same as Z.

Weak Paint on G35: Same as Z.

Rattles on G35: Same as Z (both have too many).

Windows on G35: Early models have grease streaks (as did Zs)
