Default 6MT or 5AT?

6MT or 5AT? What would YOU choose? I'm considering a 6MT.

I agree totally. I've never personally owned an autobox and would only consider one in a large sedan. The thought of buying a 5AT never crossed my mind.

Practice with the MT for the months that you have available. From there, you will be able to better determine if a MT is the right fit for you.

For me, a MT is just more fun to drive (it's interaction with the car). Some people may not want to deal with the 'hassle' though

The interior center console may change you're opinion. Sit in both. They are quite different in height. I think the fun factor and power delivery is higher in the 6mt. As well a lot more 350Z parts bolt right onto the 6mt sedan. just my 2c

If you have to ask, then get a 5AT. 6MT people just know. My last car was a very rare 5MT Lexus SC300. I've never owned an automatic transmission automobile, except in 1976, when I lived in California, and Trans-Ams were not available with a 4MT in that state. I hated it. Every personal car I've owned, since 1957 (Yes, I'm an old guy) has been a stick. From 3 on the tree, to 3 by the knee, to four on the floor, to 5MT and now 6MT, all sticks. But, as I say, that's me, and I want to be part of the experience.

6MT unless you commute under very heavy traffic everyday, but why even buy a G35 coupe for a daily driver if that's the case.

You know that all you need is one period after each sentence, right? No need to smash the button three times if you know how to form a complete sentence. I don't think your biggest concern is AT or MT, but learning to communicate properly in written format.

For everyone else, my vote is for 6MT.

Being ready is knowing how...thats it....If you dont feel like shifting all the time doesnt mean you are not ready . Threads like this...Mt or AT thing.... is funny as hell

how long have you been using internet?
there's always a newbie internet user who complains written formats, punctuation, etc
if you don't like my writing style, then don't bother to read... Why even bother to write reply?
this is my writing style and i won't change it bcuz u don't like it... it's samething as I don't like your hair style, get some hair gel...
how old are you? if you are teen then i'll understand your immaturity but if you are like 30+ then what are you thinking? why so picky about 3 periods at the end?
I feel you just wanted to attack me for some reason, if not then why not complaining pittkid333(i got 6MT lot more fun) for not having proper period at the end of sentence? how about shimZ? he didn't even capitalized first letter... or is it 3periods at the end is not acceptable while missing period is acceptable?

well my way of ready for 6MT is not if YOU can drive or not, it's if you are WILLING/WANT manual tran... usually, people who buy manual they don't even think about which tranny, they just get MT...

Haha. I found that amusing. You make it seem like it's a simple problem with typos or formatting. It's not. You write like you have the mental capacity of a three year old and it's disturbing because at the same time you're going off telling people that they're immature. Even more appalling is the fact that you try to justify your wonton use of grammar, instead of trying to fix it, and I think that itself explains your intellectual level. It's also not like your asinine example of hair style because there are a set of rules for English unlike your hair(maybe you ditched one too many of those classes). Either way, it appears you're better at using smilies than writing. Maybe you can do a post of just smilies... (this is where "..." is appropriate)

Don't get your panties all up in a bunch. I still love you. Come over and I'll give you a kiss. I still think 6MT is a better choice.
