Default Attempt at Artsy G photos

Sorry first time posting on the site. Mostly hang out at g35driver.com and freshalloy.com. Anyway, washed the car on Friday and snapped some pics as the sun was going down. Let me know what you all think!

Sorry about the size of this one but it looks weird if I shrink it anymore.

The first one looks pretty good. Too much sun glare on the others though... Good work all in all.

Good quality pictures but the sun is a little strong! Which forum do you like best?

Yeah the sun was strong. Need to figure out how to shoot into the sun and get rid of the glare. I think the first one overall looks better but the second shot would be the best if it wasn't for the glare.

As for which forum...not sure really. All of them have their pros and cons. My biggest peeve with FA is that they tend to be down a lot. My biggest peeve with g35d is that you just don't seem to get that many responses. Haven't spent much time on my350z...yet

Hi guys,

Here are some pics of my car. I drove to the nearby hills as soon as I got the car washed and used a UV Filter on my digicam to take these pics. I hope you all like it. :-)

Nice shots! Didn't like the CB color at first but it's growing on me. Don't see to many of those in my neck of the woods. What kind of radar detertor is that? Have you thought about doing a 'stealth' install?

I frequent both g35driver and my350z and there is no comparison. There is a lot of Z-bashing on g35driver and it's a less active one than this board.

Really? I'm on G35D everyday and I don't think there's a lot of Z bashing.

I personally have never posted a 'Z sucks because blah blah blah' post. I'm a fan of both but I just like the rear styling of the G better. I think there's a fair amount of Z/G animosity on both sites but I think there's also a huge amount of mutual Z/G respect...case in point...ME

BTW, I've only been frequenting this site for a week but the two things it has better than any other site I've are:

1) Smilies...lots of (easy access) smilies
2) Sig Pics...definitely some of the most creative I've EVER seen

Look up "a funny thing happened on my way to the Infiniti dealer"thread. When I defended the Z I was told I have a midlife crisis because I own sports cars and one punk even said I bought the cars so I can hit on my female students
When I realized I was arguing with boys I "hung up".

I am a member of other forums and my350z.com is the friendliest to use, smiles are e-z, sig's are creative and allowed, allot of good people. I have been to other forums and there not as friendly and user friendly. I am a member of club Lexus because of my IS300 and that forum is similar to my350z.com. I would say the only difference is you’re able to upload pictures there in the gallery.

Sorry I went off topic!

Thanks.....I love the color. Blue is my favorite color. I do not see many blues which makes my car even more unique.... :-)

Glad you decided to take some "artsy" pics, but take it from someone that is a photographer (I'm not a Pro per se, but a serious amateur), take the pictures with the sun behind you, not in front. Also, you might take it when the sun is just coming up or going down on the horizon, so that you get a warm lighting effect.

Anyway, keep at it (the artsy pics) and eventually you should get some really good shots. Photography, at least serious photography, takes a lot of practice and a lot of shoot. With digital cameras, you can just keep shooting until you get something good.

Best of luck.

Nice trial at the pics! =)
I do too think the sun was a bit too strong...

hitechguy2000;
I like the Blue in your pics... why do you use a UV filter on your digi cam? i though they were only useful for Film cameras...

Thanks, I used a UV filter to cut down the glare. Yes, it works for any type of camera. However, I clicked it in the afternoon and it was a nice day with clear skies...hence the glare :-(

The pic of the interior was modified using photoshop to give it a foggy look...kinda mystic. There is a lot of light but I used that to my advantage.

Thanks
