Again, you're showing your youn age. You don't NEED a cosigner just because your young. You claim to be 22. Anybody above the age of 18 can buy a car without a cosigner.

Graduate from school and you'll be able to buy a car by yourself too !!!! It worked for me.

Yes but to get the best rate, its good to have a cosigner.
At age 22, you cant have the best of score, so I am trying to get my parents cosigning, but since they have so many things on their name such as other cars and business loans, lenders are weary of giving them another loan, atleast at a decent rate.

i got a loan from the bank... i'm 19, and didnt need a cosigner, my rate was around 5.25%...and i also own a accord v6

if your credit warranted a lower rate you would get it....the most a dealership could be holding by federal law is 2 points andwhen it comes to someone with good credit the dealership isnt going to risk loosing the deal so they normally will only hold 1/2 point...so since you were quoted 7.9 i would guess you could shop it and get maybe a 7 1/4 rate somewhere....so i would guess you are teir 3 which is by far good credit however not terible either

so this tells me 1 of 2 things

very little credit history which couldnt be the case since you claim to own a business and a house..takes pretty rock solid credit for that

or you pay bills late occasionally

my mom cosgined, though her score is higher, she also doesnt have too much history, I will try it with my dad on monday

It's not BS that you can't get a lower rate. Loan rates are based on your ability to pay it back. You could make a milllion dollars a month, but that doesn' t mean you'll pay back your loans. That's what credit history is for. Your character is measured by that FICO score.

Obviously, you have no real sense of personal finance. Just suck it up and get the loan at say 7.9% for 5 years. Then just pay off the car in 3 years.

p.s. Your last two posts have been more level headed and mature, so you'll get meaningful responses from us.

Why don't you listen to what people are really saying and try to apply what they are suggesting. Why do you think the world owes you something? If you really do deserve better than that, then you shouldn't have a problem getting a lower rate. But you DON'T have a good FICO score, so please do not expect to get the best rate. Like I said earlier...if you do make as much money as you say you do then get the loan at a higher rate & pay it off early. Very, very simple.
