Default Are there Issues with the G35 Sedan

I'm real close to putting some money down and ordering a 2005 G35 sedan with the premium & wood package. I am fairly familiar with the car as I did a lot of research about the 350Z when I was considering buying one. The tire feathering/Nissan denials and some other little issues pretty much scared me off of the 350 and as a result I got myself a different sports car.

My wife wants a G35 sedan but I thought I'd ask you owners if any of the 350's build issues have ever found their way into the G35 cars? Are there any quality issues that I should be alerted to?

Thanks

I had tire feathering on my G35 coupe, and am now getting a little bit of rattle in the tranny. Not sure about the sedan though.

I have a 04 G35 6MT Sedan and it is much better built than my early Z (VIN #800).

A few rattles is it, no tranny problems, no tire feathering. The Bose system is much better than the Z's, and the dealer service is the biggest difference of all. I traded my Z for the G35 sedan and I am glad I did. I have no regrets. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.

Cool!

It's good to hear the good review (compared to the 350)

I made it official yesterday...

Ordered a 2005 5AT sedan with the premium package and Navigation.
From what I've read the sedan's bhp is up to 280. Yikes. Even with the auto it should be in the 6 second range to 60.

Now I wait.

Thanks.

I have had a 2003.5 sedan for almost 2 years now (42000 miles) and it is almost better than new. Properly maintained, the VQ35 with a Q45 auto tranny will last 250000 miles without breaking a sweat. The G sedan is the best car for the dollar in its class, or maybe any class. However, if you want to plunk down $50000, then the '05 vette' gets you to near-supercar performance for a Budweiser price. If I didnt really, really need 4 doors, I would be trading for a new 400 HP vette'.

Yeah. The vette is cool. I've got a 2001 convertible with 'only' 350bhp. I'd love a new one but I definately couldn't afford a new G and a C6.

I'll just have to make due with my C5.
