this would be the case if someone bought a nismo exhaust made for 350Z. they do sell 6 inch extension pipe, it's just a tad bit short, but no clearance issue. the tips slightly tuck under the exhaust cut out of the rear bumper.
8 inch extension will not work, as it will get in the way of the piping.

They don't make a NISMO exhaust specifically for the G? There's only the ghetto rigged 8" pipe?

I am sorry to here that a mustang is picking on you.....I have both a stang and a G35......While the G pulls good it will never have the raw power my stang does....Also the stang will never have the refinement of my G......Go with the INJEN I like its deep sound the best...

Adding on just the exhaust won't net you that much HP. I'm thinking around 5 to 8 HP as mentioned above. If you wanted to add some NA power, I'd suggest to do the following (just my opinion):
1) exhaust - take your pick; my personal fave is Fuji
2) headers
3) y-pipe
4) cams
5) z-tube
6) JWT pop charger
7) Crawford Plenum
8) piggy back A/F computer - to fine tune the A/F ratio, I know Greddy makes one (E-Manage)
I'm guessing the above mods would put you at ~330 HP at the crank. Again, any mods to your car would require to do your own homework to see what works for you....

ok one of my buddys like myself wanted a stelth set up
he put the gruppe-s y pipe and some companies high flow cat set up.
exhaust cat back only gave him 7 hp at wheels on the dyno and it was loud so he got rid of it and put stock exhaust on with electric cut out. the car sounds louder than stock cause he has high flow cats and the y pipe with stock cat back but on dyno the electric cut out made 14 more hp which was 7 more than the cat back system he had on the car when the electric cut out was opened up.
