You can't go pro without first going to college, and the majority of players don't go pro until after their senior year. Football is different from other sports, it takes more development before entering the draft. The fact that they even get into college makes them more educated than the average american, unless your assertion is that the majority of americans have higher than a high school diploma. I would think if that were the case, then our country wouldn't be in the predicament it currently is.
