Nano, back the h*ll up. Is your car a race car? The nismo sounds the best because it’s closest to stock. There is a reason why SOME race cars sound raspy.

FairladyZ, I think Cloudy's proven his position. "You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em..." It's time to fold 'em. IMO

Thats ok no offense taken considering the opinion was coming from YOU. Who says all Z's sounds ricey if they are not stock, and try to compare a Japanese car saying it sounds ricey if its not american sounding.

Im not one for loud exhaust but the injen doesn't sound bad for one on the louder side. Also has a unique sound compared to the other ones I have heard in soundclips.

PEOPLE!

Don't go by the video clip. By all means it does the system no justice. Further, if you have crappy speaker/settings you won't get the full effect...besides the entire exhaust "sound spectrum" can't be replicated on most computer speakers.

Do yourself a favor and go to a Z meet to appreciate it for yourself.

Peace!

That would be the best idea. But I do not own a Z yet or know anyone with one. I like the exhaust though, seriously considering it now once I get my Z.

Nano got me going earlier so disregard some of my remarks. I don’t see why some people got offended by me saying IMO stock exhaust or the Nismo sounds the best and other exhaust sounds ricey/raspy. My previous Z had cat pipes and stock exhaust and that sounded a little raspy. I figured if they jumped on me for saying that than in the back of their mind I am right.

No. It's because you insulted the taste/preferences of a lot of people here by saying that all aftermarket exhausts, except for the Nismo, are/sound ricey (your "IMO" added after the fact).

Peace, Out.

Why should one statement insult people? You choose your exhaust.

first of all, only bigots use the word rice to describe a sound. Raspy is not equal to rice, in the least. Some awesome cars I have driven were raspy yet awesome in their sound and performance.

Second, the fact that Nismo and stock sound the best because they sound stock makes no sense. I do not drive a race car but my car is not stock and definitely sounds angrier(raspy?) than stock. Yet is not that loud and not bothersome in the least.

Third IMO you are an idiot, But do not be offended by my statement. You chose what you say.

I am an idiot because I and 90% of the country would say Nismo and stock sound the best on a 350Z?

if that were the case, then why so many aftermarket exhausts on forum members Z's...also from your old you Z you said it was raspy w/the stock exhaust and test pipes...test pipes are known to add a raspiness to the exhaust note...not the exhaust itself

Because the forums only represent Z lovers and not even close to 10% of any population. I also know there is a small % that agrees with me just on this forum alone. If one can’t take criticism on an open public forum then they shouldn’t be on here. Okay I am done arguing now.

not arguing w/you just thought yout statement reagrding 90% of Z owners was untrue. I agree there are other owners who agree w/you in regards to keeping the Z stock and no one here is attacking that belief. You began attacking/arguing by calling a modified exhaust rice. Thats all...I think we both made our points...Enjoy the wknd
