Your wrong.

i had always wondered about the veracity of the claim that the shape of the upper plenum was just to accomodate the strut bar, etc, but on 3/26/05, in front of like, 20 other guys, i found out it wasn't true. i learned there is a functional reason for its shape, and now i have improved performance over stock, AND my a/m hood vents don't rub my plenum anymore.

Go get a flow chart then and prove to me that the stock plenum is better then the Kinetix or Crawford. Then explain to me why the aftermarket plenums do better according to the flow chart.

Total flow is only one part of the power equation and flow benches don't measure port velocity.

So maybe the 1/2 inch spacer makes 1 more horsepower than the 1/4 inch because ... well, it creates an additional 1/4 inch of space

Too much can be bad as well. You maybe be losing a little torque down low with a huge 1/2 inch spacer to gain that 1 HP up high. Without an ECU flash to include the extra 500 RPM's I doubt you see anything. Plus I think I read that only the 1/4 inch spacer fits under the stock strut bar, not the 1/2 inch. Just some thoughts, I don't have anything except the JWT hehe. Everything else is 1 big merry-go-round and I haven't decided what/if I wanna do next.

I still think for price, power, 4 lb. weight loss, and LOOKS I really would consider the Kinetix V4. If I get one of the ones (kinda like winning the bad lottery, chances are so low) then I will just request another.

Let me ask a serious question...with all this talk about reflashing ECU's which for the 350z is a pain in the butt, because you have to send the whole dang thing to California...
You mean to tell me no one has figured out how to reflash the ECU or replace it without shipping it out of state?
I am watching Horsepower TV right now and "drooling" becaue Mustang owners can use this little handheld that you input "yes and no" answers....and it plugs into an input port under dash...they made a stock Cobra increase 40hp!
If the Japanese automanufacturers are so advanced over the Americans, why can't we 350z owners have something like that?!?!?!?!
