Kenetix Plenum (Plastic)??
Has anyone bought the kenetix plenum? Is this thing plastic? it looks cheap. Im sure it could be painted. What is the general thought of this vs. the crawford plenum or others out there that are not plastic?

do a search")
but from my reading, kinetix has has a lot of cracking issues with previous versions. i think theyre up to version 4 now and it seems like theyve got most of the issues resolved -- but from my experience with both crawford and AAM spacer design, i dont know if i'd trust having a plastic piece in my car. having said that, i dont think kinetix is a bad company at all --- they seem to stand behind their products and if you look at their other stuff, DANGGGG... *cough*intakemanifold*cough*

i'm surely no expert but i try to search before asking around here... i'm learnin'. i also do understand that sometimes the search tool here can come up with undesirable results. peace.

I like the Kinetix over the Crawford because it looks better and allows you to keep your strut bar.
In case you havent seen it yet, I am switching to the Kinetix Polished Intake Manifold. It is a little more pricey at $725 shipped, but it looks that damn good. If you have any thoughts about going F/I, Id spring for the full manifold. NA dynoes were quite impressive. A little higher than with the V4 alone.
If its a cash problem, go with the Kinetix V4 plenum. If money is no object, so to speak, and you want a bad@ss manifold, drop the $725 and get the manifold.
These pix are of the manifold and the dyno on a NA car. The dyno was done on a stock Z that had ONLY 20" wheels.
PM me for details on the GB if interested. Oh yeah, if you do decide on the V4 plenum, I am hosting a GB for their products and the V4 is $325 shipped.

HOLY POOP! Those are some *****IN numbers on that Kinetix duder!
I want!
But the normal V4 is plastic, and it is slightly cheaper; however, a plenum doesnt need to be very strong on an NA engine because it isnt filled with that much pressure. Probably less than one PSI, which even Costco water bottles can handle...

Dont know on the install, but I venture to say 2 hours give or take depending on your skill level.
It is brand new to the market. There is ONLY 1 car running this other than the Kinetix R&D car. They will officially be "out" on May 13 when the 1st shipment under the GB ships.

I also have the V4 but plan on "upgrading" to the new SS IM when I get one available.
I then plan on selling my V4 like I am sure many others will do. You can get a pretty good deal on one i bet in about a month!

I hate to see someone hanging on a limb like that.
