Contact 350zonlinestore. I'm pretty sure he has a good price for it.

To me the HKS is the best of both worlds from a sound stand point. It's almost like a Dr. Jekyle and Mr. Hyde type senario.

Light throttle under 3k revs it's deep sounding yet VERY civil. It's deeper than stock but not much louder.

Under hard acceleration though...OH BABY does it come to life with a very exotic sound which is a good bit louder than stock. It's like having two totally different exhausts.

Oh yah, by the way...it looks great and adds some performance too.

punlieu82,
I got mine from Greg @ gscmotorsports.com

I plan on dynoing soon! I haven't done a baseline though

The sounds is not loud at all from where you drive(no interior resonance), but hear it from outside and it is resonably loud!

I got my exhaust on my car about two weeks and yesterday the driver side poped off of the hanger plus it looks like the exhaust sticks out a little far out with the tip adjusted all the way in. any ideas on how to fix this

Stick the other tip out a bit. Do your mufflers look crooked by any chance?

Ive d/l all the clips of this exhaust, but I have been told that it doesn't sound like it doesn in person. Is there any possible chance that someone could get more of a accurate clip of how it sounds? I am very close to deciding on an exhaust, but Im not sure if its the sound im looking for. I really want something that keeps the stock melodic rumble as well as more of a exotic tone rather than a V8 type of sound. Some that I have heard that I like are the nismo, fuji, and the amuse.
Last night I heard the Injen exhaust in person for the first time, and I didn't like it very much. It was decent, but didnt keep the Z's tone enough for my tastes...It sounded more deep from what I heard. But I didn't hear it at WOT, only partial throttles and it revving. Does the HKS sound more like the injen type of sound, or is it more along the lines of the other exhaust I listed above?
Thanks,
Jon

Hey Jon...the offer still stands...come on up some time for a demo. Or maybe i'll come to you if you guys set-up a dyno day.

From what I can gather on the Injen...the HKS will be quieter than the Injen. The HKS is a good bit deeper and a little louder than stock at idle and up. But IMO the HKS is fairly tame compared to other systems...at least till you really get on the gas. 3k rpm and up is the magic area where the HKS really starts singing and just revving doesn't really show off this exhaust. It needs a load on it to really get the nice exotic sound.

Let me tell you now the HKS sounds NOTHING like the Injen.

The Injen produces a real "rumble-deep" like sound. The HKS has a bit higher pitched exotic like sound. Let me tell you i'm a picky guy. I wanted to buy something i fell in love with, haha. The HKS arrived not too long ago and i was set on this one.

Well, it looks like alot of people are very happy with this exhaust. Can anyone who has heard other exhausts, does the HKS sound similar to anything else out there available for the Z? Im just trying to get a more accurate picture of how its going to sound.

KENWH - I might have to make a trip and come see you and your ride soon. But, if I can schedule a dyno day/meet soon enough, I hope you can make it down.

Also, Ken and anyone else who is in the TN Area or surrounding areas, I will be looking into a organizing a dyno day sometime some. I am going to be talking with my friend who works at Dynospeed and a few other shops next week to work out the details. Anyone who is interested, Email, IM, or PM me!
thanks,
Jon

My stock exhaust was noticealby crooked also, with the drivers side sticking out about an inch farther.. However, with the HKS I've got it sitting pretty much straight. MUCH better than stock at least. I know I had to loosen and re-adjust the HKS a couple times to get it right so that would be my suggestion...just keep adjusting till you get it just right.
