i've never heard or driven the injen to be able to compare it to the hks. if the injen is an oiled filter i'd watch out though...my dad just had to replace his maf in his 4runner and cost him 450 bucks just because of an oiled filter. i wouldn't want to know how much a maf sensor would cost for a Z...

could always sell the injen on the forum...and throw on the hks just for a change or swap the two and if you like one or the other better sell the one you don't like as much

heat shield is a pain, but maybe mine wasn't bent right from the factory...other than that...it's easy
