Thumbs up Cast Crawford Plenum Review

first off - great quality, fitment, and customer support. i would expect nothing less from the crawford crew...these guys are great

as far as performance goes, this thing produces some awesome power throughout the entire powerband. the car really pulls hard now.

i ended up buying the strut bar too and its also of great quality and fitment.

what i like about this plenum vs the aam spacer is no leaks, no clearance issues, all of the correct hardware is provided, lots of r&d on this so you know its optimal, less obstruction inside the plenum with two pillars vs six pillars (stock), and it really looks nicer than the stock plenum or spacer imo.

what i don't like is watching my fuel guage drop dramatically now that i have the crawford plenum. i know i have been on the gas more but i also think this mod burns a little more fuel than a stock setup.

overall, great product and a satisfied customer...thanks crawford

AAM spacers dont leak.
Dont provide conclusion without evidence to support it.
AAM spacer do not have clearence issues. They rais the front by 1/2" and angle back to a 1/4".
Very poor review as well. The plenum wont make you burn more gas it should increase your milege because you get better airflow. If you are at WOT it will kill your MPG just like the stock plenum.

well i have had the aam spacer so i can tell you that it does leak, and you will throw a cel sooner or later. you have to keep retightening those bolts on the upper plenum...unless you use locktite. if you have the spacer long enough you will eventually get a leak on those top bolts. the rubber washers cannot withstand the high heat....they should have used a teflon washer like the crawford plenum which only has two bolts. also, the aam kit does not provide the proper hardware sizes for the plenum or the strut bar imo.

regardless of what you say, there are clearance issues with the aam spacer kit otherwise they wouldn't supply all those washers. now, if you add washers and use the stock bolts you barely have enough thread to hold down your strut bar. you must make sure you get clearance with both the strut bar and the hood and to do this you have to adjust here and there accordingly....none of which you have to worry about with the crawford plenum. do you have vibration now....yep, thats another issue i didn't like about the aam spacer kit.

the crawford strut bar is a nice piece, provides new hardware (longer bolts at the attachment points, and a one piece spacer instead of hundreds of washers as with the aam kit). also, no clearance issues to worry about or vibration with the crawford strut bar.

as far as the gas mileage goes, well it just seems like my gas mileage is less now...that i have no proof of...so i agree with you on that one. maybe its because i am on the gas more now that i have the plenum and there is more power at my disposal. the more horses you add the more gas your gonna burn....thats a fact.

i thought the review was honest....too bad you didn't like it but you can't please everyone. both the spacer and the crawford plenum do perform so its a good mod either way you go.

as far as your reply goes....well at least i can spell

on my dyno with all my mods including crawford cast plenum the ecu detected more air and threw more fuel in there thats why my a/f curve is rich after 4700rmp thus burning more fuel and lower mpg.
