Default Injen CAI air filter pipe bolt-on

Just installed an Injen CAI on my Z today. At the end of the installation the instructions mentioned to use the stock push pin to secure the pipe holding the filter to the front bumper. I'm curious if anyone else had trouble getting the pin in and stable. I opted to bolt it on in the same location using a hex bolt and nut. Was a little tricky getting the bolt inserted in the stock hole from the inside but the fit is awesome. The filter is rock solid. Anyone else done this?

I thought about it when I first looked at what they wanted me to do, but I was able to use the puch pin without any problems and it is very stable.
