But doesn't wieght give you momentum? Once you get started with that heavey wieght, the momentum helps to add more power... So does your below analogy really cover the momentum part?

Count in your head how long it takes to get to redline from a 30mph roll and so on. or count how long it takes for the rpms to fly up and drop when you are in neutral. Then after do the same. A good analogy is a runner with weights on his leg. He uses the same energy when running both ways but without weights he can lift his leg faster for his next stride.
