Veilside/Seibon VT hoods and AAM Plenum Spacer?
I'm definitely getting the Veilside v2 hood, which is pretty much the same overall design as the Veilside v3 and the Seibon VT hoods.
I'm wondering if this would work with the AAM plenum spacer. From what I understand with the AAM plenum spacer, you have to put washers under the strut tower bar so it clears the plenum w/spacer. My concern is this would cause the strut tower bar to contact the hood.
I'm also considering the JIC strut bar as well. I'm not sure if it's any more low profile than the stock strut, but I'm assuming if the stock rubs, so will the JIC.
Anyone have any experience with this combination of mods?

I don't want hood spacers.
I was under the impression that with the AAM angled plenum spacer, you have to put washers under the strut tower bar to get it to fit over the plenum. I was basically wondering if this would cause contact with the hood.

Well based on the one car we did (pictured on our website) that has a VIS hood with louvers that extend lower than the ones on the veilside hood, it will likely fit because the louver on the veilside do not extend as low. However I can't gaurentee, because personally dealt with this hood. But in theory, it should work.
Just talked to our head machinist and got his opinion, he says if Veilside says it'll be a stock replacement it should totally fit. So I'd possibly inquire with Veilside about the hood sitting loer than stock or protruding lower than stock in the engine bay.
But we're still thinking it should work.
PM or IM me if you have more questions, we'll help you any way we can on this.

Also, have you had any issues with people installing the spacer w/ an aftermarket strut bar (JIC in particular)?
My car is in the shop right now getting the hood and body kit painted and installed. I have the 5/16" spacer on the car, but from just LOOKING at the Veilside v2 hood, I think it will fit with the strut. Of course, this hood doesnt have the scoop in the center so it might work here and not for the v3 and seibon hoods...
I'll definitely be posting plenty of pics etc when I get my car back. (Should be another week or so, I think...)

I have this setup JIC, AAM, Veilside V3 hood. And yes it rubs the hood. You have to use the washers to lift the JIC enough to avoid hitting the plenum, but by doing that you cause the JIC to rub. Not sure but I think the OEM strut bar would be worse.
It does not rub too bad, but it is starting to ware rub spots in my hood and on the JIC. Also the hood does not fit as perfect as it used to. In fact I lost points at the last national show I was at because of the hood fitment being off

Yeah my JIC strut fits with the 5/16th spacer and the Veilside v2 hood. But, the hood is a complete piece of garbage.
It was installed, and come to find out the thing is very warped, and uneven in the front. The shop had to even cut away part of the fiberglass ribbed area underneath and modify it because it was hitting the body next to the strut tower. I'm going to call Intense Motorsports and let them know about this garbage, and I will NEVER buy another Veilside product again.

While we are on the topic of the Seibon VT hood, I have a few questions. I ordered this hood Monday from Tim at JSC Speed for a really great price! I do have the GReddy GRex STB and the Vortech SC. Does anyone with either of these 2 mods have the Seibon VT hood? If so, how is the fitment of all 3 together?
TIA,
Zach
