megan racing headers
Has anyone tried these on their car or heard anything about their headers for the Z? I just got mine in the mail, but want to get some input before installing them on my car.
I'm not sure about the 350z application, but I know from other boards(Honda/Acura mostly) that people ordered and compared them to other headers and the concensus seems to be they take DC Sports headers, reverse engineer them and copy them, and sell them for cheaper. I'm interested to see whether they fit correctly and if you get any gains. Let us know how it turns out.
Yeah, I've heard a lot about them on Honda forums mostly. The only reason why I'm contemplating putting them on is due the welding on the piping. It seems like the welding isn't perfectly uniform (which I wasn't expecting). I dont want to pay 700 to put them on and they crack on me. That would be another 700 to take them off = /
That's true. I don't guess you have a friend that would help you install them? I used one of their headers on my CRX and felt a definite butt-dyno increase. But then again they replaced a heavy, rusty, cast-iron manifold so there was a weight loss as well. They make Y-pipes for the 350z too. I'm almost considering ordering some myself because the price is so low it makes it worth a try...
Well, after hearing all the horror stories about putting on headers, I don't know if I want to install them myself, especially with just a home pneumatic jack. 8-10 hours for one install??? I'd rather use that 8-10 hours installing something with a little more HP...like nitrous = )
