Exclamation need help!

hi everybody,
i´m new arround here. i´ve got a brand new ´05 nissan 350z(blue).
first of all awesome car, best ever.
but i´ve got osme questions about the car or should say about
some "tuning parts".

i want to install a AEM cold air intake system.(is this a good choice?)
the problem isn´t the installation( by the way i biuld up a superbike on my own),my "prob" is:do i´ve to change the air/fuel ratio or something, because of the more air the engine gets with this part??????

what do you think would be the best choice of rims???

oh did i touled you that i´m from germany??
this damn mo'*?# f#cking country!!!!
you may ask yourself why i´m so upset, i´ll tell you.
an aem cold air system is illegal in our country, most of the body kits and
spoilers too.and don´t forget the turbos an exhaust systems.
okay you could make the most parts street legal but you ´ve got to pay for it.let´s say you want to make the cold air system street legal you have to pay about 150 $.

and that´s the main reason why my Z (my baby) is still OEM.
this sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!

but i hope you could help me with the AEM system.

with best regards XM 1

ps: pics will follow very soon

No. No change to the ECU is necessary

welcome.

if you search, you will find many threads discussing and comparing CAI's such as AEM and Injen. AEM is known to lose hp and tq for some reason, where Injen would increase hp slightly. I personally can't compare because I've only driven mine with an Injen. Also, note that the AEM filter sits inside your fender wall, whereas the Injen sits right behind your front grill. So "THEORETICALLY" the Injen should also get a better cold air charge.

Anyways good luck. I'm right under ya (no I'm not gay) in Switzerland right now.

many thanks to all of you.
ok so the injen intake catches more cold "fresh" air.
i want to install the do luck body kit and as you could see on there
webpage they cut a little intake into the front bumper.maybe this would
help a lot.

if got another question: how about the engine live time????

would the intake decrease it or would it cuase any damage to the engine??
