Default How loud will the car be?

Right now I have a JWT popcharger and a Motordyne 1/2 inch plenum spacer. I am thinking about getting the injen straight tip exhaust with test pipes. Will this make my car extremely unbearably loud or just pretty loud? Anyone with this setup? Thanks.

I don't know how to measure “loud” but it will be more loud than what you have now. Test pipes replace the cats, and the cats are not sound deadening devices. So OEM cat, high flow cats or test pipes make little difference in volume.

I suggest that you attend a Z-Meet and “hear” any cat-back exhaust before you buy.

I beg to differ, test pipes make a large difference, and HFC make a big difference. More airflow will always equal more noise if the number of resonators stays the same. Also, the cats cool the exhaust off a lot and unburned fuel remains unburned. With test pipes, the unburned fuel will actually explode while in the exhuast pipes causing a gurgly noise. Sounds good, but its really bassy.

Injen SES will make your car louder. You should really hear it on a car tho, its a nice loud.

raspy sound = the true sound of the engine dumping used air...
