Default test pipe/CEL/driving without clearing it

Hello, I broke my Crawford cats(on a sidewalk the brackets broke,I welded the hole without the brackets, but the staff inside the cats might have been damaged, shaked:sounds bad).
I want to get resonated test pipes on my 04, I know there's the spark plug non fouler method (I don't know where to get them in France, what size...). Would it be ok to drive with the CEL on, without clearing it? Would it retard timing, go on limp mode...

Thanks

I would not put the test pipes on without doing the non-fouler mod. I can ship you the non-foulers if you want. I just did mine this past weekend and they work great.
