Default Testpipe w/stock exhaust, stock ypipe. How's it sound?

How does this sound? Since biggest bottleneck in exhaust system are the cats, has anyone just run testpipe with every other stock exhaust components? how were the gains and sound?

It would sound similar to the OEM set-up. The resonators and muffler are sound deadening items, not the catalytic converters.

I just installed kinetix race pipes with my stock set up. I hate it. It sounds fine untill 3k then I sound like a f***ing ricer. If you are going to get test pipes make sure you have enough money for exhaust to. Im ordering exhaust VERY soon like today. As for power we will see tonight I have ran 14.0 at the track everytime I went so we will see if there is any improvement. Catalitic converters do alot for sound suppresion. I had a simular problem on my old prelude.

Generally speaking, if you're running non-resonated pipes, the raspiness at 3,000 rpm's won't go away until you install a turbo or supercharger.

In other words, don't expect the rasp to go away after adding a cat-back exhaust system. In fact, it could get worse with a full exhaust set-up.

I had teh same setup. It sounds okay. It sounds like stock but louder, and it gurgled a lot.

Well it was just my opinion. I love the sound of the stock exhaust. I dont like the sound of hondas with weld on exhaust..To me it kinda sounds like that. I find myself trying to shift before 3k because I think it sounds horrible. But I did go to the track the day after and ran my best time yet. 13.752 @ 101.75 with a 2.210 60ft. every time before this I ran 14.0 consistantly.
