third gear ratio 1.271:1
fourth gear ratio 1:1

Is third gear proper for a dyno test. I though that the correct gear was fourth?

i hate mustang dyno plots... all the factors they put into the mustang dyno software will change everything...

why did they only run it up to 6300/6400 rpm?

you really need a baseline to compare... every car is different baseline...

was it a very humid day?

ive been told by mustang dynos are a larger as 15% but avg a 7-10% loss they however can simulate all kinds of load on an engine... Or at least this is what ive been told.

It all depends on the variable punched into the mustang system...

if you put the weight of the car in wrong then it will show different numbers...

you can simulate a 1/4mile run on a mustang dyno...

you can simulate a semi truck pulling a trailer on a mustang dyno to see how it performs... its a little more in-depth then other dyno information.. but with what is compared on these boards as far as power gain etc... they arent the most helpfull..

you can simulate a 1/4 mile pull with out changing track conditions / etc etc witha mustang... pretty cool... most of the time...:-/

so why did they shut the car down at 6300? you know that the mrev makes you drop off above that like 1-2 hp, i would think you'd be interest in seeing how much of a hit your top end took. Also, do you have the mrev pluss in copper or what?

I'd suggest XAT Racing or Z Fever.

By the way, those don't sound TOO low. From what I hear the Mustang Dyno at coastal is very forgiving. People in the 350z club here have stated they hit higher numbers at Coastal than on the XAT Racing Dynojet. It really depends on what load settings they have on the dyno.

Dont know why he cut it off at 6k...Look at these dyno numbers , they dont seem very forgiving on the conversion from mustang to dynojet lol, these were done @ coastal . I have the MREV , dont need the copper cause im in florida.

i did my pulls on a dynojet in 4th gear on my 05 6mt g35 sedan. my baseline numbers were 237hp and 213tq with a z-tube and stillen cai. the "mrev plus" put me at 243hp and 229tq at the peak. the midrange was around +20hp and +30tq between 4500 and 5500rpm. sorry, i cant seem to get my dyno graphs up, they are too large to upload. i have them at g35driver.com if anyone is interested. the dynos are on the last 2 links.
