technical header install questions
I got some megan headers and am going to wrap them with the fiberglass wrap but whats good stuff to cover my gas and brake lines so it wont melt? Im not looking for a sheild but just something to go around the lines. Can you get this stuff at like home depot or a car parts store? Does the radiator needed to be drained? The nismo header install on 350zfourm.com says your do, but in the sturp install it doesnt say anything about it. If I do how much coolant am i gonna need? Also, has anybody used sealent for their gaskets?
Thanks
Thanks

2) Radiator does not need to be drained. I didn't have to remove any part of the cooling system to install the headers. Its a pain the the a$$ to get them in, but you can do it.
3) You do not need any sealant for your gaskets, they will seal up just fine with the right amount of torque.
All in all it took me about 8 hours on my back with the car on jack stands. It is not something I would ever want to do again, but it is doable. Biggest thing I can suggest to help is make sure you have all kinds of swivel sockets, lots of extensions and adapters cause its quite tight in some places.
Any specific questions, just let me know.
