Default ARC Forced Induction Box, Does it work?

I saw one at the D1 GP. Really interested in it. Does it work though? It's 560.00 retail, for that price I want to make sure it's worth the money!

Ahh, you mean the SUPER induction box. By saying "Forced Induction Box" you were implying that the intake box had some kind of active, forced induction-isity.

Looks just like it's an empty metal box to me. I'd love to hear from anyone that has it installed why it's so expensive.

Worth it for the performance? NO.. But some people will pay ridiculous amounts for JDM bling.

Well, it looks really cool but how is it any different than the stock CAI?

ARC makes parts for race cars that have to keep the intake near stock. they are very good performing intakes if you are restricted by rules from having a CAI.

Over here people see it as JDM bling but thats not what it is designed for at all. its purpose built for racing. In japan ARC is very well known for its super high quality/performance in racing cicuits that have stringent rules. if you are just looking for an intake for power and dont race it (in a class with rules against CAI) then its not worth it to you.

I paid for it because I love ARC stuff. I try to be a little different from everyone else.

Nah, I doubt it. Any highscool kid could do a BETTER job. The corners aren't radiused, it is entirely too big for its function and for where it goes, and detracts from the overall modern look of the engine. $520??? Pleeeeeeease

seriously rickdogg, why is your strut bar missing one of the bolts on the driver's side? was that work in progress, or does the ARC product not accommodate all the mounting locations?

No, actually dumb me stripped one of the holes. I rethreaded it, but haven't made a trip to get a new bolt
