EVO-R front air duct tube kit Installed

Finally got this kit installed on the car. It turn out, you don't need to screw a bolt on the front bumper. The fitment is so perfect. It fits so tie. Just require top 2 screws to bolt on. To installed this tube, you must remove the whole bumper, for easier installation. 2 items need to be removed. Front left lower plastic cover and a metal bracket. Here is the pics...

Would this setup be compatible with JWT popcharger or NISMO cai? Thanks

Robert_K 01-05-2006 05:21 AM

Thought they offered a CF one?

JDMZ33 01-05-2006 07:19 AM

works with popcharger, but not the NISMO intake which has the air filter on the front of the bumper. Any intake system has the filter at the stock air box location will work.

Nice invention!:)

GTNPU Z 01-05-2006 03:49 PM

Looks good but I would just like to suggest one slight change to the design...

Would it be possible to make it so that there is more of the piece that will cover the hole so it'll look flush/smooth? There seems to be a funky looking gap exposing part of the original vent. I'd like to see that whole section covered off so that it runs smoothly with the radiator brace.

JDMZ33 01-05-2006 04:38 PM

Yea, on the first pic it was not installed correctly. But this one is better.

you guys seem to sell alot more parts then is listed on your website, where can i go to look at all your products? thanks

350Z_LMS 01-06-2006 07:34 AM

I have realised that the OE air duct on US cars is actually larger than non US ones (the part is sold on the mynismo.com site)...I suppose this product fits the US air vent, correct? If so, I should buy the US air duct...please confirm and I will order the air duct from you and air vent from them...

JDMZ33 01-06-2006 07:51 AM

We test fitted on US Spec 350Z...

350Z_LMS 01-06-2006 09:33 AM

Ok...I imagined that. Now, anybody know if the US spec air duct fits the EU spec air box? ie is the stock air box exactly the same for the US and the EU spec models?

RBlover69 01-06-2006 11:26 AM

yea, it would be nice, if the complete air inlet was covered making all the air primarily come from the duct. It can escape through the side with those areas out like that

Apexi350z 01-06-2006 11:49 AM

nice! now we can throw away our rigged up dryer hose :D

thats funny...but true...except mine is cai tubing

just ordered one...exactly what i needed...should work well with my air walker front bumper

Roger V 01-07-2006 12:06 AM

Why would you need to take off the bumper to install that?

JDMZ33 01-07-2006 06:42 AM

When I installed it did not get it push more to the right. If it was, It would cover the hole thing. You need to remove the bumper, because there is just not enough space to slid it in. You also need to remove a plastic cover which is inside the bumper. Hope this helps. I'll try to get installed car back and take another adjusted picture. - Jay

All order received will be shipped on monday. Tracking will be emailed.

Robert_K 01-07-2006 06:50 AM

How long does shipping take? Might order one after the 15th.

showstoppertk 01-07-2006 12:31 PM

I would say this would work with most of the CAI systems, you just have to change it to the short ram setup.

Zlleh, I have just reply on that thread. We always look out on this forum. Make sure all the customers are happy. Those lines are from fiber. Since this item is for performance. We didn't pay attention to its look. Just want it to be lighter and not painted. BTW on Version I is painted.

Verions IIhttp://www.evo-r.net/product/CAI/tube/CIMG3021.jpg

undrgnd 01-08-2006 12:47 AM

Does version II not hang down below the bumper, or was the item cut for demonstration purposes in the pic above?

+1. If that's how it really is, looks like version II will actually harm the airflow since it cuts off where the bumper will be unless this is designed for air ducts that require you to cut a hole in your bumper.

Version II is for with Varis front duct installed. This tube just helps the air goes more directly into the intake hole.

What is the price, details etc on the version 2? I went to your websites but could not find either of your air ducts, please consider redoing it! If you could PM me a price for both versions i would appreciate it.

JDMZ33 01-15-2006 03:57 PM

PM me for version 2. BTW guys. I forgot to note. On the silver Z it was installed with a missing factory duct. That's why there was a opening whole. If you look atthe installed on the black Z, fitment is perfect.
