Helix Power 350Z Exhaust System - Production Version dynoed for your approval!! :)
Hey guys,
We have dynoed the production verison of the Helix Power 350Z exhaust today on a customer's car. The car has a COMPLETLY STOCK exhaust system with a JWT Popcharger and no other mods. Because of some controversy last time, we decided to take the HIGHEST baseline number and couple with the LOWEST delta number. This yielded a 5whp and 7 ft/lbs gain. There was a run hitting 7whp / 10 ft/lbs gains, but we left that off as to avoid controversy.
Again, a completely stock Z with an intake!!!
Honestly we feel this is a very nice exhaust system as the system is TOTALLY STREETABLE it's only a bit louder than the Fujitsubo systems, and no where near the loudness of the straight through / dual pipe systems like the RSR, etc. Yet it makes solid horsepower gains, about the same actually as the RSR system. And you really can't beat the price for this type of quality!
Our Dyno - Before everyone tries to compare dyno numbers with dynojets, our dyno is a Mustangdyne 4WD chassis dyno. It's a dyno which simulates real-world conditions, which means it applies a loading force (in this case ~3500lbs of load) and spins all FOUR wheels through a connected driveshaft. The force is the same inertial force applied onto your car when accelerating (hence the 3500lbs), and the 4wheels are spinning to keep the VDC systems happy. 210 whp horsepower for a 350Z is completely in line with a 280HP car. The 300HP Subaru STI makes about 220-225whp on our dyno, the 280HP Mitsubishi Evolution makes 210HP, and the 500HP Dodge Viper GTS makes 377whp / 423 ft/lbs on our dyno.
Here are the graphs and pictures.
Thanks,
Gary

Hi everyone,
This is my first post.. I've been searching on the forums alot and I finally decided to start posting. That's my car up there on the dyno. The exhaust sounds great! Was a little disappointed w/ the 5whp gain, cuz honestly...butt dyno says 0. The exhaust sounds great though! Deeper than stock, a very nice note..
Thanks Gruppe-S!!
