Default NISMO Y-Pipe Question..

Hey guys, if the flex joint of the Y-pipe is scratched up pretty bad is that ok? Will it affect performance at all? Im sure tons of you guys must have scratched up your Y-pipes as well... suggestions?

it will only hurt performance if you have an exhaust leak.

You'll be fine. The flex joint covers the pipe itself, which will be fine. I''ve seen flex joint mesh worn completely through or even removed altogether and the pipe beneath is fine and no effect on exhaust performance whatsoever.

as long as you dont scrape soo deep that you brake the flex joint that is under the mesh... its fine...
