I just order a new set of Crawford HF cat's and the Motordyne 5/16 ISO plenum spacer for my Z. Do you guys think that I can put this parts myself instead of paying a mechanic to do it and save some money.

Most definitely on the spacer, I put mine on myself. Make sure to use a torque wrench too. If you have some jackstands and a jack you should have no problem with the HFC. To make it easier I recommend a long socket extension, like 20". An extra set of hands helps and also a breaker bar will make it a lot easier. Oh yeah, and beer too. Have fun.

 

These are both easy installs. If you have a decent set of tools, and a basic amount of mechanical skill, you'll be fine. My tip of the day is to buy some Anitsieze for the bolts when installing the spacer. The lower plenum is prone to stripping.
