Out of all the Nismo clones DC's are the only ones to take the extra time to smooth the welds on the inside of the collector.

+1. Exactly what I was gonna say. I got my topspeed headers from a group by at $220. The topspeed is a replica of the DC which is a replica of the NISMO.

Crawford headers.
Nice smooth flowing collectors, long(ish tubes){let's not get into that debate}, equal length tubes.

Thanks for the mature and thoughtful reply. Totally uncalled for!
And why not learn to spell, or were you just showing off your high IQ?

the xerd headers will be about the same to install as any other short tube header. only the crawfords require you to drop the motor mounts.

the xerd's will build good top end hp, where as a shorty will build more low end tq. gains can be found on xerd's website, but i dont know of any back to back independent tests.

Actually living in TN we are quite the experts on rednecks and any redneck I have ever talked "headers" to, define long tube based on "looks" . . .mainly where the collector is located. I dont know if there is any real definition of what long tubes are and are not. I can tell you there is no other header out there that we have seen for this engine that has as long of primary tube length with a properly designed collector and can directly replace the factory manifolds. I think as a manufacturer Doug can descriptively name his product in manor he sees fit, especially when it accurately describes the product.

Oh and Randy never said Long Tube Headers. He said:

long(ish tubes)
You are the one who wanted to make it an argument for what ever reason. Dont come on here with 20 something posts and start this BS. We all have been there and done that already. Bring something new to the table.

The install is a PIA! It can be done by yourself but allow plenty of time. You will need a 14mm ratchet wrench and plenty of different length socket extensions. I wouldn't consider doing it without a lift. I guess you could do it on stands but a lift makes it a lot easier. An air ratchet would be helpful to remove the cats and exhaust. If I was to do it again I would remove the coolant line on the the passenger side. The extra time spent bleeding the coolant system would be worth it. There are a few nuts that are extremely difficult to remove/tighten with that coolant line in the way!

I would purchase them from www.partshippers.com
Dave helped me when I purchased my Strup headers. The customer service and price was excellent.

I have a friend who has a shop with a lift I can use with his help to install the headers. I am getting a deal from someone on this site for a brand new set but I am curious if it is worth the time and money. Thanks for the input

Obviously there is not difference in hp gain... but the ceramic ones do not last as long
