Nice find!

Here's a pic of the JIC courtesy of avalonracing. It looks to be effectively accomplishing what we're discussing, but I've also heard that it has a cone filter that fits inside the stock airbox. Can anyone verify this?

Its listed a bit pricey at $285 on avalonracing.net

I don't see why we can't get a shop to fabricate the exact dimensions of the Injen tube. I'll look into it.

Great FIND! My buddy just got pulled over today and the cop made him pop his hood. He has an AEM intake and the cop was telling him that is Illegal and this and that... And that he must have the airbox. He said its ok to have the piping but he must have the airbox... So after seeing him getting hassled and what not, I decided to keep my car more stock looking. I may even anodize my pipe black to make it look oem. Just a thought. Good find though!
Thats the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. INtakes are perfectly legal.. your friend was getting harassed. AEM has a certificate that u can get that confirms that their part is perfectly legal for street use.

The difference between JIC and Injen is with the pipe section where MAF mounted on. JIC's pipe is from throttlebody to the airbox, where the Injen uses your OE plastic pipe.. Oh, and also JIC uses cone filter iniside the airbox, like what zxsaint says..

Right now JIC has not released the product yet. The ones shown were the protoype. The best right now is the Injen

6 HP per the dyno.

Sorry all!
The sound is very similar of the stock one, little more louder, but more refine and it have more "troutle" response. the thing is that first it was a experiment for know how will work the JIC intake, but is bean a good mod and very stock looking. I will post pics I promise and test it again, just in case.
