IMO, a (U-bolt with rubber flex connection) at some stratigic points would help...

I'm basically going to re-anaylize my setup when the Nismo exhaust goes on in a few weeks. I'll figure out what needs to be done at that point. So far things seem to be holding up just fine.

It is an issue on both OEM & after market because it doesn't have any support as you pointed out in the middle on the exhaut flow.

I had the Nismo exhaust & OEM cats & the OEM cats cracked all the way around at the weld to the point the mounting piece on the side of the cat that connects it to the "U-bracket" was completely seperate from the cat itself & left a hole the size of a Quarter. That is why I went with the Crawfords.

I didn't see any play in the "U-bracket" under the car..just to help you align the bolt into the hole.

It is a flaw in the design as a whole.

Custom dual ehaust takes some of the presure off , works well for me ....so far

My Borla True Dual doesn't help any based on it's use of OEM hanger positions only.
