Heh, kinda obvious pop charger word to the wise
So, I installed mine about 200 miles ago. No issues with the install, and I spent days trying to get the car to stall at hw speeds as others have reported. No luck with that, and idle has been solid at 750 rpm. Funny thing yesterday though. Just cruising at 30 mph, went to neutral, car stalled. Popped clutch to restart, rpms seriously dipping in between gears and at lights idle was ludicrous. I noticed the noise had increased, but assumed MAF got oil on it and car was sucking more air. Well it was, I popped the hood to check the MAF and found the pc filter laying loose on the heat shield! Damn my dumb ***! I had handled the assembly by the coupler during install and didn't notice that big-assed hosed clap wasn't tight since it stayed together, but apparently it wasn't. I know I should have double-checked it but assumed since it stayed together during install they tightened it together at the factory. Wrong. So, my word to the wise is, when you install this thing, make sure the filter clamp is tight. Obvious, but something I didn't do.
The good news is, I know I couldn't have driven more than 20 miles or so without the filter since I just changed the oil and it was in place then, but I could see this helping someone else fukc up their car pretty easily.
