Your nismo exhaust comes complete with a Y-pipe.

Headers>Cats(testpipes)>Y-pipe>Exhaust

If you want to upgrade your exhaust at this point you could replace your cats with test pipes or high flow cats. You can also do headers, but they are a complete pain in the *** and not worth the trouble in my experience.

burp pipe > **** pipe > fart pipe

get hi flow cats or 'resonated test pipes' and exhaust system.. those are the only 2 things that you need.

You might want to check the intake/exhaust forum for opinions. I haven't been in the market for test pipes in a long time. The last good ones I heard about were the APS and Labree test pipes. Of course, there are probably MANY more alternatives now days...

Yeah check the intake/exhaust forum.

Test pipes or high flow cats are what you need, or if you're getting headers too you can get xerd headers and eliminate the need altogether.

How about looking at a diagram of the 350Z stock exhaust. And a photo of the NISMO cat back exhaust. What type of mid pipe do I need to replace the cats? I think you are confused about what pipes go where and what pipes replace what.
