this is by far my fav exhaust and the one i am trying to convince myself to spend a grand or so on. i have never attempted an exhaust install, however. i have decent mechanical skills; is this a project that anyone, including a complete beginner, can do in a half day if needed? i just dont want to get under there and take apart my car and not be able to get it back in running condition. also, all i have are ramps and a couple jacks/jackstands. is it too much of a PITA to do it this way w/o a real lift? thanks anyone

As for installation, it was actually pretty straightforward. I would say that you should be able to do it if you feel comfortable getting underneath the car. Having said that, I would recommend that you get a friend to help you out, as it really is beneficial to have another person their to help hold things up. Doing it yourself isn't impossible, but it's just easier with another person. The most difficult part of the install (at least for us) was taking off the rear stock rear muffler section. It just didn't want to come out of the rubber (the hangers). Use plenty of WD-40 and take your time moving it back and forth, and eventually the exhaust will come free! Everything else was easy since all that needed to be done was loosen the various nuts/bolts to remove the piping. All-in-all, if you are doing it yourself and haven't done anything before, you should be able to get everything done in less than 3 hours. With a helping hand, less than 2 hours from start to finish!

Alright, here are the sound clips. They are taken from my digital camera, 5 feet from the back of the car. The camera is resting on a box about 1 foot from the ground. Again, it may not be a great sample, but it shows you the differences between stock versus Fujitsubo.

damn.. the fujitsubo is definitely louder and much deeper in tone.. i like it.. but it's not stock sounding (which i think sounds a tad bit better)

that is why you can take the sound clips you hear and toss them in the toilet - they are virtually worthless, as it's impossible to make a comparison to other clips, due to different microphones, etc etc.
Having owned the Fuji stainless and now the Fuji ti, both exhausts absolutely keep the stock exhaust tone, but make it far deeper and not nearly as hollow sounding as stock.
For a true representation of the sound, go to Fujitsubo's website - their clip is dead on accurate
