I had the CATs in for 2k without any SES.... but then after headers installed, the SES came up...... so no doubt it's headers that causes the problem.... so what should i do next?
Thanks
Thanks

Headers should not give you a SES light. The light comes from comparing the pre-catalytic converter gasses to the post-catalytic converter gases.
My guess is the you messed with the post-catalytic converter sensors. Perhaps accidentally disconnecting one.

if the light comes back he needs to get the code ran, simple as that. I agree that headers shouldn't throw a code and that is why he needs to get it checked out. Resetting the ecu does not solve the problem. You very well could have damaged an 02 sensor during the install. If an upstream sensor is damaged it can mess things up causing bad fuel milage and poor performance. the upstream sensors are used by the ecu to determine the amount of fuel to send to the motor.
At this point, you made the wrong move by resetting the ecu. Codes are there for a reason and for you to dismiss them so carelessly is the wrong approach. Especially when you can drive down to a local autozone and have them run the code for you for FREE. If you are venturing into modifying your car beyond a simple catback, you NEED to buy a code reader and be aware of what is going on with your car.
My rant is done, now get the d*mn code read

^^^so just bring the car to the autozone and tell them i need a "CODE READ" due to SES light came up? Cuz after installed the headers, first 500 miles the car had no SES problem but then it appears without warning
..... I will definately will get the code read but there is no autozone in VA....so can i bring it to any other places? I am curious to get it done.... bwt, i heard that the 2006 has strictly SES regulation but that may be wrong...
Thanks again
